POSIGEN JOINS TORNADO RESPONSE EFFORTS, PROVIDING VOLUNTEERS AND SOLAR POWER CHARGING STATIONS

Friday, Feb 10, 2017, New Orleans – As Louisiana’s largest provider of solar and energy efficiency, serving more than 1300 homeowners in New Orleans East, PosiGen is reaching out to its customers and the community as a whole, to provide assistance to those affected by Tuesday’s tornadoes. Our team will be participating in a volunteer cleanup day on Saturday, February 11th, organized by ENONAC, (East New Orleans Neighborhood Advisory Commission), a non-profit representing all of the neighborhoods in New Orleans East.

In addition to cleanup efforts, PosiGen is partnering with Solar Alternatives to provide mobile solar power stations, which will provide much needed electricity to charge cell phones, tools and other necessities in affected areas where power has yet to be restored. The solar power stations will change locations based on the needs of the community, but will start out on Saturday, February 11th, at the corner of Hammond Street and Bundy Road, beginning at 9am. All tornado victims and those involved in the response effort are encouraged to come by to “plug into PosiGen’s solar power.”

The homes of nineteen PosiGen customers were damaged during Tuesday’s storms. PosiGen will be repairing and/or replacing all damaged solar panels at no cost to our customers. It is our commitment to our customers to provide all monitoring, maintenance and repairs to any solar panels we install.

“We want our customers to know we are on their side,” said Tom Neyhart, PosiGen CEO. “The tornado victims have enough to worry about right now – what’s going to happen to their solar panels shouldn’t be another worry. We have already started the process of beginning the repairs. Any PosiGen customer whose home was damaged and hasn’t been contacted by our team, is asked to please call 888-939-442.”

Join PosiGen Solar Solutions, the Congregational Church of Naugatuck and Puppies Behind Bars as we honor Veterans

PosiGen Solar Solutions, Connecticut’s low-cost solar and energy efficiency provider, is proud to be joining together with the Congregational Church of Naugatuck to help our nation’s veterans.  Join us on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11th for a fundraiser to benefit the Puppies Behind Bars: Dog Tags Division.

Dog Tags: Service Dogs for Those Who’ve Served Us was established by Puppies Behind Bars in 2006 to provide service dogs to combat veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan who have suffered a physical injury, traumatic brain injury or exhibit post-traumatic stress disorder. Money raised during Friday’s fundraiser will help cover the costs associated with training, raising, and matching a dog to a United States Veteran.

In addition to sponsoring this worthwhile event, PosiGen employees will be on site to educate homeowners about the cost savings benefits of going solar. PosiGen is on a mission to make solar and energy efficiency available to all Connecticut homeowners, regardless of income or credit score. Since 2015, PosiGen has launched “Solar For All” campaigns in four Connecticut cities – Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven and New London - with more cities on the horizon. The “Solar For All” program has gained the public support of Connecticut community leaders as well as elected officials including the Governor, State Lawmakers and the Mayors of the above-mentioned cities.

“As the nation honors its veterans this month, we are happy to be partnering with the Congregational Church of Naugatuck and Puppies Behind Bars on this worthy cause,” Tom Neyhart, PosiGen CEO said.  “Whether it be the aid of a service dog, or the cost savings of going solar, we are committed to helping and honoring our veterans. Many of our veterans are on fixed incomes and would greatly benefit from PosiGen’s solar savings and energy efficiency upgrades. Our partnership with the Congregational Church of Naugatuck and Puppies Behind Bars is just one way we are showing our respect and appreciation to the men and women who fight for our freedoms.”

SOLAR FOR ALL LAUNCHES IN NEW LONDON, CT

Mayor, State Lawmakers Support Solar and Energy Efficiency Program Designed to Benefit Low-to-Moderate Homeowners

New London, CT (September 20, 2016) – New London Mayor Michael Passero welcomes an innovative new public-private partnership that makes clean energy more accessible and affordable to all New London homeowners. The Solar For All program offers the installation of solar power and energy efficiency measures provided by PosiGen Solar Solutions and financed through the Connecticut Green Bank to all residential home owners. Solar For All combines a solar lease with an energy savings agreement to lower the energy burden of participating households. Supporting Mayor Passero at Tuesday’s press conference announcing the new program was State Senator Paul Formica, in addition to Kerry O’Neill, Director of Residential Programs at the Connecticut Green Bank and Thomas Neyhart, CEO of PosiGen Solar Solutions.

“Posigen has done tremendous work in other communities and we are thrilled to welcome them to New London,” said Mayor Michael Passero. “The Solar For All program gives families in our city the chance to extend their household budget, to do the right thing for the environment, and establish New London as a clean energy leader.”

Nick Roman, a New London customer, said "I like technology and I like saving money, because when you live paycheck to paycheck the extra $30-$40 a month I save with PosiGen really helps. We've all heard it said solar is only for rich folks, but when I found out that I could go green for $0 down with no minimum credit score, and no convoluted power purchase agreement? The decision was a no-brainer. By the way, that money I save includes the lease fee and the mandatory utility customer fee.”

PosiGen, a New Orleans solar company with local headquarters in Connecticut, aims to close what many see as a clean energy affordability gap by making solar available to all homeowners regardless of income. “We’re changing the misconception that solar is for the rich,” states Beth Galante, Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations for PosiGen. “Low-to-moderate income families are most susceptible to rising energy costs, and this program puts those home owners in control of their energy costs.”

Solar For All is the only solar program with no minimum credit score or minimum income requirement. PosiGen’s lease program covers the full cost of installing, maintaining and insuring the solar system, and also provides energy efficiency upgrades.

The Connecticut Green Bank is happy to provide the financial support for the program. “The partnership we have with PosiGen gives limited income households the opportunity to lower their energy costs through financing,” states Bryan Garcia, President and CEO of the Connecticut Green Bank. “Not only does Solar For All give more residents access to affordable clean energy, it is also helping to create healthier homes and communities across the state.”

Applications for the New London Solar For All program are being taken now, so homeowners are encouraged to contact PosiGen today at 203-416-6518 or 1-866-PosiGen to take advantage of this exceptional opportunity to become a solar home in New London.
